Board of Trustees

We are a small but rapidly growing organisation. Thankfully we can call on the wisdom and expertise of our board of trustees to help us navigate the journey.

Marcia Blakenham

Marcia is a creative and cultural consultant. In 1996, she was part of the team that established Maggie’s Centres, a national collection of places designed by pre-eminent architects that provide cancer patients and their families and friends with support and encouragement in difficult times. She was vice-chair of Maggie’s Centres until 2012 and a director until 2014. She was also on the Audit and Property Committee during that period.

She splits her time between London and Suffolk, where she has her pottery studio.

Zoe Ingenhaag

Zoe studied Drama at the University of Bristol and worked as the Associate Producer of an off-West End London theatre for five years. She then studied the GDL and the LPC at BPP University in London. 

She is currently gaining experience in the Data & Privacy Legal Practice Group at the Lewis Silkin, a law firm she joined in August of 2016, assisting various fee earners with all aspects of work. She previously sat in the Immigration team where she assisted fee earners with a variety of matters.

She lives in London.

Albert Scardino

Albert has been a journalist and broadcaster, a business operator and a government official. His work has appeared on the BBC, Sky News and PBS, and in The Guardian, The Independent on Sunday, The New York Times, the New Statesman and the New European. With his wife Marjorie he founded The Georgia Gazette weekly newspaper in Savannah where his editorial writing earned him a Pulitzer Prize. He has served as a trustee of numerous charitable organisations in the US and the UK and as a director of public and private companies in the UK, the US and Canada. He worked as press secretary to the Mayor of the City of New York, David N Dinkins, as a campaign press officer for Bill Clinton and as an advisor to the Chairman of the US Securities and Exchange Commission, Arthur Levitt. 

He is married, has three grown children and lives in London.
